Eoghan Ó hArgáin is a partner specialising in EU and Irish public procurement law. Eoghan provides strategic public procurement advice to public bodies and private sector entities. His clients operate in a broad range of industries including the construction, social housing, healthcare, advertising, industrial cleaning, waste, water, public transport and IT industries. Eoghan regularly advises public bodies on how to design and administer public procurement processes in a manner that minimises legal risk and enhances efficiency. He also advises unsuccessful tenderers on bringing challenges to award decisions, including by way of judicial review proceedings.

Eoghan also practises competition law and provides advice on EU and Irish merger control, abuses of a dominant position, anticompetitive agreements, EU state aid law, and regulatory investigations. He was formerly a solicitor in the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
