Eszter Szakács graduated from the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, in 2004. During her studies, she spent a semester in Vienna at the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna. Ms Szakács was a partner at IP boutique Sár and Partners between 2012-2019 and joined Danubia Legal as a partner in 2019. Eszter focuses on the enforcement of intellectual property rights, especially patent litigation, as well as pharmaceutical regulatory affairs. She is also the author of several publications in these subjects. She has been repeatedly ranked in the most prestigious rankings in the field of patents, such as IP Stars, IAM Patent 1000, Who’s Who Legal. In 2017, 2018 and 2020 she was ranked in MIP’s Top 250 Women in IP. Ms Szakács is also experienced in competition law, trademark law, and general civil law matters. Eszter is a member of the Budapest Bar Association’s Register of Attorneys-at-Law, as well as various international and domestic professional organisations, such as LES, EPLAW, INTA, AIPPI, LIDC. She is also the Hungarian editor of www.eplawpatentblog.com and the member of the EPLAW Board as well as the secretary of the association. In LESI she is the Co-Chair of the Women in Licensing Alliance. Eszter is native in Hungarian and also speaks English and German.
