Prof Dr Frans Sonneveldt is a partner of Mazars The Hague, having worked as a tax consultant as of November 1986.
He is a tax consultant and lawyer and his professional authorities are Anglo-American trusts and other trust-like devices, estate planning including legal and tax advice on last wills, prenuptial agreements, divorces, gifts, emigration and immigration.
Frans is a professor at the University of Leiden (on the Inheritance Tax Act and estate planning). He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and a member of the Moltmaker Committee engaged in the preparation of a report on the revision of the Dutch Inheritance Tax Act 1956. He is a part time judge at the Court of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.
