Funmilayo Odude
Funmilayo is a founding and managing partner at Commercial and Energy Law Practice (CANDELP). She is an ardent dispute resolution practitioner as well as a corporate and commercial lawyer. She specialises in domestic and international civil and commercial dispute resolution. Her experience spans over a decade and she has represented clients in various industries including oil and gas, power, banking, labour and employment, intellectual property, real estate, debt recovery and insolvency. She is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Nigerian Chapter) and a certified mediator with the Lagos State MultiDoor Courthouse (LMDC). She is a regular columnist for Financial Nigeria magazine, a monthly publication on development and finance. She writes under the column ‘Law and Society’ and was awarded columnist of the year at the inaugural edition of the awards in 2020.
