Ignace Vernimme’s expertise lies in IP law and covers the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, metallurgic, comic strip, and fashion industries. Ignace specialises in patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, know-how protection, technology transfer, and specific regulations that apply to pharmaceutical products. Ignace is recognized in the market as one of the very few IP-experts who is highly specialised in several aspects of both soft and hard IP and thus able to assist his clients in a very broad range of legal questions or issues regarding their IP portfolio management (IP protection, IP commercialization, and IP litigation). Ignace is arbitrator and mediator of WIPO, founding member and chair of the editorial board of IRDI (one of the main Belgian IP reviews), board member of the Dutch foundation BBMM, an organisation that provides a professional education program for Benelux trademark and design attorneys and member and arbitrator of Cepani (Belgian Center for Arbitration and Mediation – Intellectual Property Litigation).
