Jeremy Jose is a special counsel in the competition and regulation team. He has over 14 years’ experience in merger review, market regulation and competition law, gained at Gilbert + Tobin and through his past employment in a number of roles with the ACCC. Jeremy has deep experience in the Australian energy sector arising from advising participants operating across the energy supply chain and from prior experience at the ACCC.
At the ACCC, Jeremy had a leading role in the ACCC’s East Coast Gas Inquiry, which was a wide-ranging inquiry into the gas industry with a focus on wholesale gas supply and pipeline regulation. Jeremy has extensive experience in merger regulation arising from over six years as a senior member of the ACCC’s merger review team. During that time, Jeremy was involved in the assessment of many large and complex transactions including in the National Electricity Market and the east coast gas market.
