Johan Oehren (Johan Camilo Alstad-Øhren) earned an LL.M. from the University of Oslo’s Faculty of Law. His thesis on Appropriation Art and Copyright Infringements compares Norwegian with US copyright law. Oehren also holds a BA in Art History from the same alma mater. He has gained experience working in art galleries and museums, art publishing, curating exhibitions and through collecting art. Today he provides pro bono legal support to artists and foundations, and writes a monthly column on Art & Finance in the consumer magazine Dine Penger. Oehren is currently employed as Claims & Collection Manager/Legal & Compliance with the trade credit insurance company Euler Hermes (Allianz Group).
