Juan M Coronado Ávila is a Mexican lawyer graduate of Universidad Latinoamericana, where he obtained his law degree in 2003, starting his professional career in 2000 as a law clerk in civil and commercial law; later he joined HSBC Bank, as a lawyer in the fiduciary department for three years; in 2006 he had the opportunity to begin his corporate career when he received the position of corporate lawyer in Miranda y Estavillo SC, the same place where he begin his career in mining; finally, in 2011 he joined VHG Servicios Legales where he is currently a senior associate.
With more than 15 years of experience in the mining industry, his practice is focused on mining, migration, explosives and community relationships.
In relation to mining issues, he has participated in several negotiations with ejidos and communities to obtain the corresponding access permits for mining exploration; likewise, preparing title opinions for the drafting of contracts that involve mining concession rights, dealing with mining corporations in general, filing and following all the procedures carried out before Public Registry of Mining and General Direction of Mines.
Mr Coronado is also a skilled lawyer in migratory matters, including obtaining immigration documents for foreign executives from other jurisdictions who have come to work in Mexico. He also has the experience to obtain the explosives permits for the companies that have reached advanced exploration or have reached the benefit of the mineral.
