Katerina Kefaloniti is an advocate and legal consultant at A Karitzis & Associates LLC. She is also a member of the Limassol Bar Association.

Katerina received her LLB degree (Hons) from the University of East Anglia in 2017 and was awarded her LLM in international maritime law from Swansea University in 2019. Her master’s focused on law of the sea, charter parties, carriage of goods (by sea, air and road) and oil and gas, whereas, her dissertation was divided in two parts and focused on the liability for pollution damage caused by oil spills originating from offshore facilities, and the registration of vessels under flag of convenience and what is the role of the genuine link requirement between the registering state and the vessel.

Katerina started her career working as a litigation lawyer specialising in corporate dispute resolution with the main focus on, among other areas, the issuance of worldwide freezing orders and Norwich Pharmacal proceedings. She joined A Karitzis & Associates LLC in December 2021 and has since been part of the firm’s shipping department.
