Katryne is an associate in the firm’s Tax, SST, and Customs Practice. Katryne’s practice consists primarily of income tax disputes and tax advisory and planning. She regularly advises multinationals and corporations on various corporate transactions and restructurings and has advised and represented clients from a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, energy, and property development. Katryne has also appeared in tax and civil recovery matters before the Special Commissioners of Income Tax, the High Court, and the Court of Appeal, representing taxpayers and recently, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia.
Katryne also regularly authors articles and has contributed to the Tax Guardian, the inaugural edition of The Corporate Tax Planning Law Review, and the Chambers Global Practice Guide on Corporate Tax 2020. She graduated with First-Class Honours from the Australian National University and obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in Malaysia.
