Kelsey is an associate in the Energy Team based in Cape Town.

Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright as a candidate attorney, Kelsey completed her LLB and LLM (specialising in commercial law) at the University of Cape Town. Her LLM thesis focused on the policy harmonisation of Independent Power Producers and regional integration in the Sub-Saharan African Energy Sector. Kelsey has taken courses in Oil and Gas Law and Electricity Market Design. In 2019, Kelsey presented her LLM research at the Mineral Law in Africa Colloquium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

In 2018, Kelsey participated in an international exchange programme at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany with a focus on international comparative business law. To broaden her perspective in the EU energy market, she took courses in EU and German Energy Law.

Kelsey has experience in providing specialised legal advice to clients in the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry.
