Madalina Constantinescu is a lawyer in the CMS Bucharest energy team, specialising in energy law. She has more than 10 years’ experience working as a consultant in the oil and gas and mining sector and six years’ experience in electricity and environmental law. She has assisted a wide range of energy clients on matters involving oil and gas bidding rounds, licensing, public acquisitions, transfer of licenses (including mining), certification of oil and gas and electricity companies, and approvals for oil and gas and electricity operations in Romania. Madalina has successfully advised several oil and gas, mining and energy clients on a full range of regulatory, compliance, corporate, employment, legal due diligence and joint venture management matters. Madalina was seconded for two years to an oil and gas company involved in experimental production relating to the biggest discovery well in Romania in an exploration block in the past 30 years, and provided advice on obtaining from the National Agency for Mineral Resources six prospecting permits. She advised clients during the 10th bidding round organised by the National Agency of Mineral Resources. Madalina is also an authorised English interpreter and translator.
