Mafalda Ferreira Santos is a partner at SÉRVULO’s Litigation & Arbitration and Restructuring & Insolvency departments, who has joined the team in 2018 from Cuatrecasas, where she was a partner since 2013. She focuses her professional activity mainly on dispute resolution both in- and out-of-court, representing Portuguese and foreign clients in civil and commercial disputes, insolvency and restructuring, consumer rights conflicts, competition and European law issues. She has advised on cases concerning commercial law, restructuring and insolvency (representing creditors and debtors), disputes arising from breaches of competition law, disputes and arbitrations concerning sales agreements and agreements for the supply of goods and services, construction agreements, distribution agreements and agency agreements, disputes in corporate relations, advertising, industrial property, copyright and related rights, and insurance. She has been representing two major Portuguese banks in highly complex legal proceedings in the context of their liquidation. She was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon from 2004 to 2017. She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
