María Belén Moreno
Belén Moreno is an upcoming lawyer who focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration cases.
She works in the dispute resolution department, mainly conducting research for José A Moreno Rodriguez in investment arbitration-related proceedings in which he is an arbitrator. She also conducts research on complex matters for arbitrations to which Altra Legal is a party, covering areas such as dispute boards and construction arbitrations.
She was a part of the National University of Asuncion´s commercial arbitration moot team as an oralist, receiving an honorable mention at the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2015. Ever since, she has been part of the coaching team of the University’s moot teams in both Latin America and the Willem C Vis Moot.
Belen has an LLM from Georgetown University and has graduated with academic honors as part of the Dean’s List 2020. She also earned a Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution and was a part of the Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS).
