Maria Margarida Torres coordinates the immigration and real estate law team and has been an associate at Caiado Guerreiro since 2009 and a partner since 2019. She obtained her law degree at the University of Lisbon and has carried out postgraduate studies in public law, real estate law and migration law.

She has been responsible for many private and business investment operations in her areas of activity, advising domestic and international clients of several nationalities. She regularly deals with contracts, due diligences, negotiations and licences.

She has been active in various areas of public law, with particular emphasis on urbanism, in procedural matters and in administrative litigation. She has accompanied clients in operations involving office buildings, shopping centres, retail parks, logistics parks and hotels, among others.

She is the author of numerous articles regarding immigration, real estate and urban planning law, in Portuguese and international publications. She is also often invited to be a keynote speaker at conferences worldwide, in China, South Africa, Brazil and the UK.

Maria Margarida Torres is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association. She is also the vice president of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Property Owners Association (APPROP).
