Mariana Zhong is a partner of Hui Zhong based in Beijing. Before joining Hui Zhong, she was a national partner of the international arbitration department at Dechert LLP.
Mariana focuses her practice on dispute resolution matters, including international commercial and investment arbitration. She has worked on several dozen international commercial arbitration cases seated at home and abroad applying arbitration rules of ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, SIAC, CIETAC, BAC, SHIAC, and SCIA, as well as ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Rules. Mariana also handles investment arbitration. She is currently representing two Chinese investors in an ICSID arbitration against a state in South East Asia, and previously was involved in two ICSID arbitration cases representing investors from Europe.
Mariana is an arbitrator, an affiliate research fellow of Harvard Law and a former ICC YAF Representative for North Asia. She frequently gives lectures and leads training courses for prestigious Chinese law schools, Chinese local bars and Chinese state-owned-enterprises. Ms Zhong has been recognised by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific for three consecutive years as a Next Generation Lawyer.
