Mariia Baranovych has been providing comprehensive legal support to international and local companies for 15 years. She has extensive experience, inter alia, in providing legal services related to a number of business issues (such as distribution, donations and grants, patient support programmes, interaction with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, distributors, pharmacy chains and healthcare institutions, conducting clinical trials, advertising, marketing and other promotional activities, labelling, pricing etc.), antitrust and competition issues, anticorruption compliance, personal data protection, public procurement, consumers’ rights protection, commercial and contract law as well as legal issues related to medical services, cosmetics, the food and beverage industry, including food supplements, etc.
Mariia represented a number of companies in investigations of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and courts regarding unfair competition related to advertising and product labelling as well as alleged anticompetitive concerted actions (inter alia, concerning setting prices, market allocation, bundling products, etc.).
Mariia took an active part in reforming the Ukrainian legislation, inter alia, as an expert at a number of business associations as well as working groups at the state authorities. In September 2014 she was awarded by the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine for contributing to the harmonisation of the Ukrainian legislation with the EU law.
Mariia is an author of over 75 publications related to life sciences and healthcare, advertising and promotion, distribution, antitrust and competition law, anticorruption compliance and business ethics, clinical trials, personal data protection, food and beverage, labelling and packaging, etc. Mariia also participated as a speaker in a number of relevant international and local conferences.
