Mario Zanchetti is a founding partner at Studio Legale Pulitanò-Zanchetti, which has its main office in Milan. He practises extensively in the areas of business criminal law, corporate criminal liability, banking and anti-money laundering law and regulations, environmental crime, and criminal liability for industrial accidents.
For the past 25 years, Professor Zanchetti has represented the top managers of Italian and multinational corporations, and the corporations themselves, in several high-profile cases.
He graduated magna cum laude from the Catholic University of Milan in 1984 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 1988. In 2001, he qualified to appear before the Supreme Court.
Between 1998 and 2000, he served as associate professor of criminal law at the University of Bari. Since 2000, he has been a full professor of criminal law at the Carlo Cattaneo University in Castellanza, where he was also the Dean of the faculty of law from 2000 to 2012.
He has been a member of the science committee for the pharmacology master’s degree course at the University of Milan since 2003 and is president of the criminology master’s degree course at the Carlo Cattaneo University. Professor Zanchetti is the author of more than 60 publications on criminal law.
