Dr Markus Böhme is a member of the environmental, planning and regulatory practice area at Taylor Wessing. He focuses on energy law and advises national and international clients on all transactions in this field.
He is regularly consulted for advice on regulatory matters in the context of the liberalisation of the energy sector. Furthermore, he advises on all aspects of energy supply (gas, electricity, and local and district heating) and on renewable energy, drawing on, among other things, the experience he gained in the legal department of a large German energy supplier. He is regularly involved in M&A transactions and has represented clients in numerous proceedings before the Intermediate Court of Appeals, and before the German Federal Supreme Court. Markus Böhme received his PhD in 2008 following his law studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn. Markus also participated in the Master of Laws programme (LLM) at Nottingham Trent University.
