Masahiro Yano is a partner of Anderson Mōri & Tomotsune based in the firm’s Osaka office. He is a member of the firm’s international arbitration team.
He joined the firm in 2015 after working at Japan’s Ministry of Finance. He has represented clients in a wide range of business disputes in litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including international arbitration and mediation. His recent highlights include a case in which he represented a Japanese client in the first international mediation conducted under the Japan International Mediation Center–Singapore International Mediation Centre’s joint covid-19 protocol.
He received his LLB and JD from the University of Tokyo and holds an LLM from Queen Mary University of London, following which he worked on secondment to the London office of Herbert Smith Freehills. He is admitted to practise in Japan.
