Michaela is an associate in the Czech Bird & Bird office specialising in dispute resolution with a solid background in corporate and commercial law. She has been involved in several administrative court disputes between an online gambling operator and the Ministry of Finance in respect of sanctions imposed by the Ministry as well as a broad spectrum of other litigation cases from shareholder litigation, disputes over international sale of hardware and software infringements to complex multi-jurisdictional disputes related to online gaming. Apart from traditional dispute-solving, she is also interested in and has developed her know-how in alternative resolution methods such as mediation.
In addition to her role as a dispute resolution specialist, she is an academic at the Charles University Faculty of Law. At the University, she participates in innovating the teaching of legal skills, and she teaches two courses focusing on legal skills.
