Monika Humphreys-Davies focuses on advising clients in the Middle East and overseas operating in the shipping, international trade and energy sectors. Her clients benefit from her experience of both contentious and non-contentious matters, which adds further commercial acumen to the advice that she provides.
Monika assists clients with their commercial disputes in both the English High Court and the UAE courts, as well as in various arbitration centres, such as the LMAA, DIAC and SIAC. She also regularly advises shipowners and charterers on charterparties, bills of lading and various other shipping and offshore-related contracts, together with vessel sale and purchase agreements.
Monika regularly authors articles for the firm’s website and co-authored the England and Wales chapter of Lexology Getting the Deal Through: Shipping for both the ninth edition 2016) and the 10th edition (2017); and the UAE chapter of the second, third and fourth editions of The Third Party Litigation Funding Law Review (2018, 2019 and 2020); all of which were published by Law Business Research Ltd.
