Olivia Baxendale has more than 10 years’ experience in advising employers on all contentious and non-contentious UK employment law issues. Olivia has acted for a range of clients, from UK start-ups and large multinational organisations to public institutions and regulatory bodies, and across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on retail, hotels and leisure, public sector and TMT. Olivia has extensive experience in successfully defending employment tribunal litigation brought against employers, including managing complex and high-profile discrimination and unfair dismissal claims. Olivia’s practice has involved an international aspect, providing employment law support for cross-border projects and high-value corporate transactions.
Olivia holds a BA (hons) in French and Hispanic studies from the University of Nottingham and the postgraduate diploma in law from Nottingham Law School. She qualified as a solicitor in 2009. Olivia has a particular interest and area of expertise in equality and diversity issues, including gender pay gap reporting, equal pay, discrimination and family friendly rights, and is active in diversity initiatives within Deloitte.
