Pamela Martinson is a partner in the global finance group at Sidley Austin LLP in Palo Alto, California. Her practice incorporates work on secured lending transactions for a broad range of lenders, including banks, investment funds, equipment leasing companies and marketplace lenders. She regularly advises clients on complex UCC issues in lending and securitisation transactions, and is a member of Sidley’s opinion and UCC committees.
Pamela graduated from Harvard Law School in 1989, and also earned an MBA in finance from the University of Denver. She worked as a commercial lender with a bank prior to commencing her legal practice. She is active in the American Bar Association through its UCC Committee, the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, and as vice president of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. She participated on the Drafting Committee of the Uniform Law Commission’s work on a Model Act for the Regulation of Virtual Currency Businesses.
