Raffaele Lener is the name partner at Lener & Partners.
He has been a professor since 1994 and is currently a member of the law faculty of the Tor Vergata University of Rome (Rome II), where he teaches commercial law and financial markets law. He is also a lecturer in commercial law at Luiss Guido Carli University.
He was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 1998 to 2018. He was a member of the Banking and Financial Ombudsman (ABF) at the Bank of Italy and is currently a member of the Securities and Financial Ombudsman (ACF) at CONSOB and of the Supervisory Committee of the OCF Supervisory Authority and Register of financial advisers. He is also a member of the Assoreti Jury of Honour. He was general counsel at Assogestioni from 1985 to 1996.
He is vice president of the Association of Economics Law Lecturers (ADDE) and director, with Eugenio Picozza, of the series ‘Diritto dell’Economia’ (Giappichelli).
