Raymond Yong leads the firm’s competition and antitrust practice group that has been consistently ranked in the top tiers by multiple publications. His practice focuses on antitrust matters involving the Malaysia Competition Commission and other sectoral regulators. These include advising clients on cartel cases and abuses of dominance, and the structuring of M&A, joint-venture and other similar alliances.
He has been recognised as a leading individual by The Legal 500: Asia Pacific and by Chambers Asia-Pacific, which noted his ‘very sound knowledge’ and ‘easy to understand and practical’ advice. He has also been recommended by GCR 100 for antitrust work. Raymond holds a double degree in commerce (specialising in economics) and law.
