Richie Ramos-Pilares is a senior partner of the firm and practises corporate law, energy and litigation. She obtained her Master of Laws in International Human Rights from the Ateneo Law School in 2021. She obtained her juris doctor degree from the Ateneo Law School in 2006 and ranked tenth in the graduating batch. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy degree from UP in 2001 and graduated magna cum laude.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, she was an associate in Angara Concepcion, Cruz, Regala, Abello Law Offices. She handled litigation matters in various fields of law.

In 2015, she became an in-house counsel with Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.

In 2016, she was appointed DOE assistant secretary. After this, she rejoined the firm and headlined major energy projects, from pre-development, construction and commissioning up to operating a power plant. In 2017, Richie Ramos-Pilares also spearheaded a 10-lawyer team that conducted a record 30-company extensive legal due diligence in 45 days.

She has drafted, reviewed and negotiated various agreements pertinent to different commercial transactions. She has prepared various legal memoranda and opinions on regulatory frameworks involving energy. She also has extensive experience in the preparation of various pleadings and conduct of trial before judicial courts, administrative bodies and quasi-judicial agencies.
