Sam Sturrock is an experienced funds, corporate and regulatory lawyer who heads the Collas Crill Jersey funds team. Sam joined the firm in 2020 following over 10 years in top tier Jersey law firms, two years as a director at a multinational administration business and a year assisting Jersey Finance on legal and technical matters. Sam was also the chair of the IoD Jersey Industry sub-committee for 2019/20.
He advises clients (including funds, managers, directors, investors and administrators) on the establishment and whole life cycle of funds and holding structures for a variety of asset classes including: (1) sustainable finance and ESG assets; (2) private equity and venture capital; (3) property and indirect real estate (including REITs and JPUTs); (4) equities and bonds; (5) alternative assets; (6) debt; and (7) infrastructure.
Sam also advises on issuances and listings of debt and equity as well as general banking and finance issues.
Having qualified as a Scottish solicitor (non-practising), Sam went on to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales (non-practising) and as a Jersey advocate in 2010. He qualified at a Scottish firm that is now part of Clyde and Co and has held senior legal roles at two leading Jersey law firms.
