Sandra De Vito Bieri is the managing partner of Bratschi and has been working in the area of civil procedure and national and international arbitration, large-scale disputes and investigations and alternative dispute resolution (e.g., mediation) for over 20 years. She mainly advises parties in financial, energy, telecom, commodities and other industry areas in disputes arising from M&A transactions, license and joint venture agreements, agency contracts, sales and purchase agreements, manufacturing as well as in the case of construction projects. She has taken part in more than 40 arbitration proceedings as chair, co- or sole arbitrator and counsel, primarily in ICC, Swiss Rules and ad hoc arbitration proceedings as well as in investment arbitration and has supervised more than 30 arbitration proceedings in her role as member of the Court of Arbitration of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution. She is today a Member of the Special Committee of the Court of Arbitration of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution (SCAI). She organises the yearly Conference on International Arbitration of the Europe Institute of the University of Zurich and is a co-founder of the Innovation Conference on International Arbitration of SCAI. She is a highly regarded arbitration practitioner and regularly recognised by Chambers Global, The Legal 500 and WWL Arbitration for her arbitration practice.
