Santiago José Zambrano Solano is a former badminton player, five-time consecutive national champion, Bolivarian runner-up in 2009 and third in the South American Games in Medellin 2010.

He is a graduate lawyer from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil and has two degrees, in intellectual property from the Universidad de Barcelona and Master of International Sports Law from ISDE in Madrid. His experience includes more than four years in the sports industry working alongside first, second and third division football teams, intermediaries, professional players, and national and international federations.

In 2018 he founded Conlegal Sports in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and with his law firm he has established himself as one of the most recognised lawyers in the country for sports matters, with academic alliances to help develop future sports lawyers in the region.
