Simone Egidi is a dual-qualified English solicitor and Italian lawyer specialised in infrastructure and energy. His practice focuses predominantly on the development, financing and M&A of large projects, including PPPs. He regularly assists clients on project contracts (e.g., concession agreements, EPC, O&M, PPA), a broad range of financing schemes and M&A transactions. Simone has advised on several leading PPP transactions both in Italy and overseas, such as the €2 billion project financing of the €2 billion Brebemi toll road (first Italian greenfield toll road project financing), the €3.5 billion project financing of the Italian broadband operator Open Fiber, the €182 million project financing of the Trento proton therapy hospital, the €6 billion Gebze-Izmir toll road and the €84 million new terminal of Milas Bodrum airport in Turkey.
