Stephen Chima Arubike is a partner in the firm with a demonstrated history of advising top multinational corporations and indigenous start-ups in aspects of Nigerian business law. He has represented leading global clients in seminal tax litigation before the tax tribunal and superior courts in Nigeria and before regulators during tax audits and investigations. He has also advised on the tax dimension to numerous seminal corporate and financial transactions and commercial arrangements. He recently led the firm’s tax team that successfully prosecuted separate tax appeal tribunal cases involving a leading Nigerian oil service company and a Nigerian subsidiary of a global technology company.
Stephen graduated with first-class honours from the Nigerian Law School, winning one of the overall best prizes. Stephen is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Lagos Court of International Arbitration and the Chartered Institute of Arbitration.
