Tong Keun Seol is a partner at Lee & Ko. His practice primarily focuses on the environment, general corporate matters that involve commercial law, and labour issues. Since joining Lee & Ko in 2010, Mr Seol has successfully represented clients in numerous civil, administrative and labour litigations.
He is a former secretary of the Special Environment Conservation Committee of the Seoul Bar Association, and his in-depth experience in environmental matters covers all aspects of climate change, including emission trading, clean development mechanism (CDM) and renewable energy projects. Mr Seol has also advised and represented a number of CDM projects and disputes in the distribution of certified emission reductions.
Mr Seol’s practice also covers occupational safety and health, including compliance with the Occupational Safety Health Act and the Major (Serious) Accident Punishment Act.
He has been selected by Who’s Who Legal as a leading lawyer in the field of the environment for the years 2017–2019, and he is highly renowned for his feasible and business-friendly solutions and his deep insight into the newly developed and emerging areas of environmental issues.
Mr Seol received his LLB degree from the Korea University School of Law in 1993 and was admitted to the Korean Bar in 2001.
