Verónica Meana holds a law degree from the CEU San Pablo University of Madrid (1994) and an LLM in US law for foreign lawyers from the University of Texas (United States, 2000).
After a year of maritime law internship at Holman, Fenwick & Willan in London (1995), Verónica joined Fernando Meana Green y Asociados law firm in 1996. From 1998, Verónica studied at the University of Texas School of Law. She rejoined Meana Green Maura & Co in January 2001, before becoming a partner at Aiyon Abogados in September 2015.
Verónica has broad experience in all areas of maritime and transport law, including court cases, arbitration and mediation. Verónica also provides relevant advice to insurance companies and import and export companies in insurance disputes, and regularly acts in judicial proceedings relating to insurance contracts.
Verónica is a regular contributor to specialist publications and lectures at universities and for shipping industry companies on maritime, transport and insurance law. Verónica is a member of the Spanish Maritime Law Association.
