Yasuhiko Fujitsu is a core partner in the crisis management practice group at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. He practises in the areas of crisis management and investigations, with special focus on capital market-related matters, including accounting irregularities, insider trading, market manipulation and financial inspections by regulators. He has served as the chair or external member of many investigation committees established in client companies.
He also has extensive experience of representing clients, including issuers, underwriters and audit corporations in proceedings held by the Financial Services Agency and in administrative litigation in relation to making false statements in disclosure documents, and securities litigation.
He regularly receives awards from major legal media groups.
He was admitted to the Bar in 1999. He obtained his BA in economics from Waseda University in 1995 and his LLM from University of California, Davis in 2004.
