Yoo Joung Kang is a senior associate in the international arbitration and litigation practice group at Bae, Kim and Lee LLC (Seoul) with abundant expertise in international arbitration and cross-border litigation over international trade, investment, IP, regulatory and business crimes. Yoo Jung earned an LLB degree from Seoul National University and an LLM degree from the University of Cambridge. With such strong academic assets, she started her legal career as a law clerk at the Seoul High Court in 2013 at the specialised division for international transactions, where she handled numerous cross-border cases bearing countless legal issues with a high degree of complexity and significance. After leaving the Korean judiciary in 2015, she has been focusing her practice mainly on international commercial, investment (ISDS) and construction arbitrations under various institutional rules, such as ICC, ICSID, LCIA, PCA, SIAC, HKIAC and KCAB. Also, she has been representing many corporate entities and business entrepreneurs in domestic civil or criminal proceedings, while advising on a wide range of corporate issues inclusive of international trade, IP, regulatory and tax.
