Yun Sung Kim is an associate at Lee & Ko. As a member of Lee & Ko’s environmental law practice group, she advises a broad range of clients, including public and private companies, developers, global organisations, and governments, on environmental matters in regulatory compliance, new and renewable energy projects and climate change issues.
Ms Kim became a member of Korean Bar Association in 2019 and, prior to joining Lee & Ko, she worked as an environmental specialist for more than 10 years. She began her career at a top-ranking environmental consulting firm founded by graduates of MIT, her alma mater, where she earned a PhD in geoenvironmental engineering. Then, Ms Kim further deepened her experience by working as a research fellow at the Korea Environment Institute, a leading environmental policy think tank of Korea. As a result, she specialises in resolving complex legal disputes of environment, safety, and public health matters that require detailed case studies.
