Aditya Jha is a principal associate in the firm’s asset management practice. After graduating from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in 2008, he spent close to three-and-a-half years in the erstwhile SJ Berwin’s London office, where he advised on multiple practice areas including investment funds, M&A and private equity. Since joining the firm, in the past few years has focused entirely on asset management and investment funds.
His principal areas of expertise include advising a broad range of investment fund managers (both institutional and ‘first generation’) on the establishment of, and institutional investors on their investment in, infrastructure, venture capital, real estate, debt and private equity investment funds, as well as advising on carried interest structures and fund restructuring.
In the recent past, he has advised on the establishment of investment funds sponsored by IDFC (including India Infrastructure Fund II) and Edelweiss. He has advised on IFC’s LP investments in the Indian sub-continent, and has also advised other LPs such as Squadron Capital and the Department for International Development (UK).
