The firm was founded in November 2018 as a result of the spin-off of the entire financial market law department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, with which the partners have had over twenty years of working relationships: in particular Raffaele Lener as partner, Grazia Bonante as counsel and Sonia Locantore as senior associate .
Carlo Cipriani, with twenty years of experience in civil, corporate and arbitration litigation, also participated in the start-up of the Firm, in order to support the litigation sector in a phase of significant growth.
In 2020 the areas of specialization of the Firm were enriched with the entry of Anna Maria Schirru, as of Counsel , who boasts twenty years of experience in the real estate finance and real estate sector .
We provide advice to banks, management companies, investment firms, custodians, regulated markets, multilateral trading systems, central counterparties, insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, pension funds, pension funds, Italian and foreign payment institutions that offer in Italy or overseas regulated services.
The firm has developed considerable experience in insolvency proceedings, especially in the banking and insurance sector and in restructuring operations. Prof. Avv. Raffaele Lener, in particular, has been the extraordinary commissioner and liquidator of banks and insurance companies several times in recent years, as well as having been one of the liquidators of the EFIM group for ten years.
The firm continues to collaborate on an independent but continuous basis with the Freshfields firm, providing assistance in the areas of financial market law to common clients
