Mr Sun’s practice focuses on dispute resolution, bankruptcy and liquidation, and compliance, in particular in substantive areas such as corporate matters, banking and finance, securities, futures and financial products.

Mr Sun has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration. He has represented clients in more than a hundred civil and commercial cases, litigated in courts at all levels across the country, and in arbitration tribunals under CIETAC, SHIAC, SHAC and other rules. In addition, he is greatly experienced in advising clients on compliance and corporate governance issues.

In the area of securities litigation, Mr Sun frequently represents leading securities and futures companies, as well domestic and international institutional investors, in investigations by the CSRC, administrative penalty proceedings (including hearings) and private actions. He was involved in the first administrative proceedings on market manipulation allegations in relation to high-frequency trading.

Mr Sun obtained his JM degree from Tsinghua University and his BA in economics from Peking University. Before joining the firm, he was the head of the legal department at Shenyin & Wanguo Securities.
