Okechukwu J Okoro is an associate in G Elias & Co. He holds a degree in law from Ebonyi
State University, Abakaliki. He also holds a master of laws degree from Bayero University, Kano. He is a member of the Energy Institute (Nigeria) Branch.
He has been involved in various mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring transactions. He was part of the team that advised NATCOM consortium on its winning bid to acquire the assets of M-Tel and NITEL on their privatisation by liquidation. He was also on the team that advised AOS Orwell Ltd on rationalising several of its subsidiaries (both local and foreign), and AMCON on the sale of Enterprise Bank to Heritage Bank, Nigeria’s first-ever sale of a ‘bridge’ bank.
