Tomoki Yanagisawa focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and international arbitration for both Japanese and foreign clients. He handled disputes involving corporate takeover, derivatives, life insurance, corporate taxation, patents, trade secrets, product liability, employment, and real estate matters, on top of other contract disputes and business torts. He has accomplished track record as a trial lawyer, including successful oral argument before the Supreme Court of Japan. With his native-level fluency in English, Tomoki also has experience advising cross-border corporate transactions and internal corporate investigations involving multiple jurisdictions. Tomoki received an LLB from The University of Tokyo, an MPP from The University of Chicago, and an LLM from Stanford University. He is admitted to practice in Japan, New York, and California.
