Yuko Kanamaru is a senior associate at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. Ms Kanamaru deals with a wide range of domestic and international disputes on securities, antitrust, labour, privacy and many other areas. She was educated at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law (LLM), and spent one year at the Singapore law firm of Rajah and Tann LLP advising Japanese clients in cases including criminal and commercial matters. After returning to Japan, she worked for a Japanese manufacturing company as a manager of its legal department, working in international dispute resolution. She is fluent in both Japanese and English.

Her recent publications include the Japan chapter of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Employment & Labour Law 2017 (2017), and Series on Practical Issues of Corporate Litigation: Introduction to Commercial Litigation (Nihon Keizai-sha, 2017).
